Kindly review and adhere to the following fire safety guidelines during your stay.

 

1. Prohibited Actions

  • No Smoking Indoors: Smoking is strictly prohibited in all guest rooms and indoor areas. Kindly use the designated smoking zones only.

  • No Open Flames: The use of candles, incense sticks, portable stoves, or any open flame device is not allowed anywhere within the hotel premises.

2. Electrical & Equipment Safety

  • Do Not Tamper with Electrical Installations: Avoid touching or altering electrical panels, plugs, or switches. Report any electrical malfunction to the front desk immediately.

  • Do not overload power sockets or use damaged electrical appliances.

  • Report any electrical sparks, burning smells, or unusual sounds to reception immediately.

  • Avoid using high-wattage devices (e.g., immersion rods, heating coils).

  • Turn Off Appliances When Not in Use: Switch off kettles, irons, and hairdryers after use.

  • Keep Flammable Items Away from Heat Sources: Items like papers, clothes, or curtains should not be near lights, stoves, or heating devices.

  • Report Damaged Wiring or Sparks: Notify reception immediately if you see faulty plugs, exposed wires, or smell burning.

  • Proper Storage of Cleaning Chemicals: Housekeeping staff should store flammable liquids safely, away from heat or sunlight.

  • Ensure Kitchen Safety (for staff): Never leave cooking unattended. Clean up grease spills promptly.

  • How Fires Occur in Restaurants: Use flame-resistant materials: Aprons, mitts, and kitchen fabrics should be fire-resistant.

  • Store Gas Cylinders Safely: Keep LPG or gas cylinders outside or in ventilated areas, away from direct heat.

  • Regular Equipment Maintenance: Schedule routine servicing of cooking appliances, gas lines, exhaust systems, and fire suppression equipment.

  • Check Fire Suppression Systems Weekly: Ensure hood suppression systems and gas shut-off valves are functional.

  • Inspect Electrical Wiring: Check all kitchen and dining area wiring for damage, especially around high-heat appliances.

3. In Case of Fire

  • Stay Calm & Act Swiftly: Immediately alert hotel staff or dial the front desk.

  • Evacuate Safely: Follow the marked escape routes and proceed to the nearest exit via stairs.

  • Close Doors Behind You: If safe to do so, close doors when evacuating to prevent the spread of smoke or fire.

  • Use Fire Extinguishers Only if Trained: If the fire is small and you are trained, use the nearest extinguisher. Otherwise, prioritize evacuation.

  • Report Any Unusual Smell or Smoke: Promptly inform the front desk if you notice any signs of fire, smoke, or burning odor.

  • Keep Corridors Clear: Please ensure hallways and exit routes are free of luggage, footwear, or personal belongings at all times.
